Suzanne is an Omaha-based educator, director, actor, and writer whose work focuses on expanding imagination, deepening understanding, and creating space for transformation.

Over the past two decades, Suzanne has with The Rose Theater, BLUEBARN Theatre, Nebraska Shakespeare, American Midwest Ballet, Opera Omaha, and previously served as Managing and Education Director of Ozark Actors Theatre (Rolla, MO), and Artistic Director of RESPECT. Favorite acting roles include Chana in Indecent, Nina in The Seagull, and the front half of the wooly mammoth in The Skin of Our Teeth. Past directing projects include the world premiere of ANight at the Farm at The Rose Theater, the American premiere of Before After at The BLUEBARN, Much Ado about Nothing at the Bellevue Little Theatre, and Stupid F@#%ing Bird at the Omaha Community Playhouse.

In the broader community, Suzanne has used her creative platforms to advocate for greater accessibility and representation (both onstage and off), as well as artists’ rights and wellbeing through, among other things, training with Theatrical Intimacy Directors and the development of “Safe Stages”, a framework for approaching creative work with attention to communication, agency, and responsibility.

Suzanne earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Master’s Degree in English from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
